The capital will become a regional center for innovation and institutional dialogue in the field of sustainable development, with the opening of GREEN ENERGY EXPO & ROMENVIROTEC, the largest platform in Romania dedicated to sustainability, which will take place at Romexpo, from March 3 to 5, 2026.
The URBAN SMART EXPO concept will also be present in 2026, through demonstrations and dialogue on smart cities. This year’s edition will be an event of strategic interest, marking a premiere for Romania through cross-border collaboration with the Republic of Moldova in the field of environment, energy and sustainable infrastructure, with institutional and business participation, in the context of the pre-accession process of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union and through the participation of central and local public authorities, the business environment, investors, professional associations and international specialists, in a regional context in full transformation.
Another absolute novelty for Romania will be the City of the Future – The Living City Experience, in which for the first time green solutions will no longer be presented separately, but integrated into a fully functional city of the future within the exhibition and demonstrated live, in a unique urban demo concept, developed on an area of 11,000 sq m. Last but not least, a strategic Asia-Europe axis will be created, and the center of international innovation will move to Bucharest through the presence of hundreds of international companies from the most dynamic markets and national pavilions, transforming the Capital into a center of sustainable innovation.
